So what if he did wear it? How does this add up to being some kind of negative or betrayal? We are not allowed to recover from 9/11 in some ways. We are constantly reminded of it and trying to move on is seen as trying to diminish the memory of those who senselessly lost their lives. But none of us will forget that. We'll always remember. What we need to let go of is the fear and panic that the government used to get King George re-elected, into war with Iraq, loss of our our civil liberties and thinking places like Guantanamo Bay serve the greater good of the US. This breeds the xenophobia and leaves us chasing our tail. 9/11 is used to perpetuate that fear. And lets face it, it was a tragedy of near biblical proportions.
