My thoughts on…Jamie Lynn Spears’ pregnancy
Forgive me if it sounds as if I’m indulging in salon gossip, but I just couldn’t believe it when I heard it. Jamie Lynn Spears, the younger, less successful and relatively normal sister of Britney Spears is pregnant, at the tender age of 16! Wow. At 16, I wasn’t nearly that experienced. Still, it’s not like I couldn’t see it coming. Her parents, in all of their infinite wisdom, let her live with her boyfriend. Don’t know who he is? It’s ok. He’s not a celebrity. Casey Aldridge if you care to know. I don’t blame him either. I’d hit it like Barry Bonds. Not to mention the perks that would follow. Hmm. A Spears marrying a non-celebrity? Why does that sound familiar?
I really hope she doesn’t follow in her sister’s footsteps. Right now, calling Britney Spears a train wreck would be an insult to trains. My sister loves her show “Zoey 101.” What kind of example is she setting for young girls like her? Nickelodeon’s probably gonna fire her. Aww. Who am I kidding? They won’t. The show would be canceled if she left. She is the main character after all. Plus Nick’s other shows would not longer be validated if they lost the only genuine star on their network. Their statement pretty much sums it up. “We respect Jamie Lynn’s decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie-Lynn’s well-being.” However, if she worked for Disney, the story would be different. Still, I am hearing rumours that Hannah Montana is pregnant. Boy. These girls nowadays don’t know how to keep their legs closed do they?
My yute, in many parts of Yard, leg locking stop before the girls dem reach double digits! Nowadays in Jam., many young girls probably consider 16 a bit old for a girl to get pregnant, so why are you giving it to Jamie Lynn, et al so hard? If you don’t believe me, check Victoria Jubilee Hospital.
at first I thought this was a WTF post, but when I think about it it’s sad. My lil sis loves the Zoey101 show.

I think parents should beat their children. If her parents were tearing up her behind with a strap she wouldn’t even think about living with her boyfriend at sixteen. Pregnant is a different story. These things happen. It’s not good but it happens.
But no 16 year old of mine would be living with her boyfriend, not without some bumps and bruises from me. I’d see the child in court first.

Maybe she got pregnant without having sex? That’s the excuse she would have to give me if I were her mother. By the way, your blog gets cooler by the second.
GC,I do agree with you regarding the cohabitation issue.Sixteen year old girls should not be living with boyfriends.Nonetheless, I cannot endorse and advocate violence towards children.Parents need to eschew violence/beating in the development and socialization of their children.The vicious cycle of violence must cease.Interestingly,that is one of the reasons why our society is so predisposed to resolve conflicts and issues by utilizing and employing violence.With regard to teen pregnancy,it is important that parents and schools promote sex education to abate these pregnancies.RESPECT!!
Apparently, she looks up to her older sister. Anyway her parents allow her to live an adult lifestyle, so pregnancy’s par for de course. Poor parentin’, that’s all, an’ de cycle continues.
