My thoughts on…the Great Firewall of China

I encountered this site the other day, and I thought it was cool enough to share with you. Greatfirewallofchina.org checks your URL to see if your site is blocked in China. As you know, or should know, the Chinese government hates free speech, so blogs are pretty much public enemy No. 1 when it comes to censorship. I entered my URL and lo and behold, it was blocked! I actually felt good, like a crusader for free speech or something. But just when I thought those commies had it out for me in particular, turns out that all Blogger blogs are blocked. So if you have a Blogspot blog, no mystery as to whether it’s blocked or not. Why not try it and post the result?

I saw this over Barbados free press a few weeks ago and tested my site and it was blocked too -_-

It seems every site is blocked i checked both my site and blog and there both blocked…how sad. Might as well have no internet

Mine was blocked too, but they did say that the site meay be reported as blocked when there were only technical reasons why they can’t see your site. That must be it, because I can’t believe that the Chinese government IT people would consciously block my blog. My blog is desirable

I’m blocked - but then probably so are all wordpress pages.
However, I did discover that it thinks that i am currently in the netherlands.
(lots of hi’s in case blogger doesn’t let me in again for a while…)

I can’t even go to the site
