Impeachment is a lame idea. Evidence? What evidence? That's just Bush-hatred speaking. Radical lefties can't stand the exercise of American power, plain and simple!

Burkean Reflections

I just think it is funny that so many people outside of the United States like to make comments like they have a stake in our success or failure. They need to worry more about their own leaders and stop worrying about ours.

Rumsfeld needed to go and I agree with Ricardo about the Democrats needing to spell out their plans and intentions for our country since they played on all of the libs discontent with the so called wrong direction.

I hope you are all happy with higher taxes and stagnent economy becuase that is exactly what will happen if they follow through on their threats to repeal all of the Bush Tax Cuts and raise the minimum wage by $2.00 or more.

Spot on! I think much of America shares your sentiment. "I didn't know who to vote for, so I voted against Bush" was a very popular post-vote response.

As was said on CNN, the democrats didn't win. The republicans lost. I hope Jamaicans will learn from this. When enough is enough, just do something about it!

Hey Leon! Nice analysis! I'm glad you are a Bush supporter, at least before the administration's incompetence on Iraq. The Democrats have a great responsibility of governing from the center and not overstepping their power. Rumsfeld had to go, but that may not be enough for the radical left elements of the party. But they won't have G.W. to kick around anymore. It's time for performance. Besides, the GOP will be back like wildfires in 2008. Just you watch!

Burkean Reflections

The music scene that gets attention here in the US awful. The good stuff is here but it's not heard.

The Democrats can use this time to actually form a political message that is direct and to the point while they have the spotlight. You're correct in that no one knows what they stand for. This frustrates me to no end and shows lack of leadership. But despite that, yes, people were sick of the direction the country was heading in.

I think many people outside of the US, like you, took an interest in this because you're right, the US is a monster, a superpower. There's enough military might here to seriously mess the world up and it's discomforting to many. America is not meant to be a bully. This is what this country has become because our President is one. He has molded policy into his horrific image and now it's time for a makeover.
