My thoughts on…the New Year

Happy New Year everyone! 2006 is finally here, and 2005 is behind us. How did you usher in the new year? In the arms of your beloved, gettin’ stone cold drunk, at church, or in style at a new year’s party? Where did the new year find me? Where I spend most of my free time, on the couch watching TV, switching between local and cable channels to view their new year’s specials. They say what the new year catches you doing is a good indication of how you will spend the rest of the year. Let’s hope not. Now’s the time of year where people make resolutions, in the hope that things will be different this year. But let’s face it, they won’t. You’ll forget your resolutions by late January (as most people do), as you return to the daily grind, be it school, work, whatever, while trying to lose the pounds you gained and regain the money you blew during the unbridled consumption of the holidays. So why bother? The holidays are over, now its back to reality. Make 2006 a good one people.
